Why Konial Is Different

Reina, Mai, Pazuzu, and the Butler gain affection through gifts and dialogue. Konial's affection is built by exploring with the Copper Bracelet equipped — every successful car adds +10 Konial affection while the bracelet is in the gear slot. There is no gift path, no per-level dialog window in the conventional sense, and no romance scene on Lv7. The only meaningful trigger is Lv2, which rewards the player with Xiao Ke OMEGA — the item that gates the True Ending.

Because the bracelet blocks car navigation (see Phone Map & Navigation), the build is gated behind reaching chapter 4. Trying to equip the bracelet in earlier chapters disables the phone map for the rest of the run.

Prerequisites

• Chapter 4 reached with the Butler's chest of copper jewelry already handed to you (the Butler gives the Copper Bracelet after car 38).
• Save file from chapter 4 onwards. Earlier saves do not have the bracelet.
• Phone map available. You must be able to queue route codes. Phone map unlocks after the Warehouse car at the start of chapter 4.
• Optional: ticket buffer. The Ancient Record Tablet costs 20 tickets and gives +15 Konial per purchase. Buy 2–3 across the build for faster Lv2 timing.

Step-by-Step Konial Build

1. Receive Copper Bracelet. After car 38, the Butler places the bracelet in your inventory. Equip immediately — there is no confirmation dialog, and unequipping wastes the per-car bonus.
2. Watch the Lv1 affection dialogue. Konial's Lv1 event fires automatically the first time you reach a chapter-4 car with the bracelet on. The dialogue runs ~90 seconds and unlocks the Lv2 trigger.
3. Run any three successful explorations. Each chapter-4 car adds +10. Three cars is enough — pick 8, 31, 45 if you want to also progress the True Ending route in parallel.
4. Trigger the Lv2 affection scene. After the third successful run, queue any car and Konial starts her Lv2 dialog at the entrance. She hands over Xiao Ke OMEGA — a one-time key item.
5. Unequip the Copper Bracelet. With OMEGA in your inventory, the bracelet is no longer useful. Unequip so the phone map works again.
6. Queue route 8-31-45-54. Type the digits on the phone map; the engine room marker appears. Travel to the engine room.
7. Spend the Konial Memo on the OMEGA option. The lever scene now shows a third option: "Take out Xiao Ke OMEGA". Confirm the dialog and the True Ending plays.

Total elapsed time on the Konial build only is 25–35 minutes on a clean chapter-4 save. The full True Ending adds another 12 minutes for the ending cinematics.

Why Each Step Matters

The bracelet gives +10 per car with no upper bound on Konial's affection, but only the Lv2 dialog rewards the OMEGA. Three runs are the documented minimum. Speedrunners report two runs can occasionally trigger the Lv2 event, but the save-flag check is random within a small window — three runs is the safe count.

The route code 8-31-45-54 is the only route in the game that requires OMEGA. Every other ending accepts a bare Memo spend on the angel lever. Mistaking the route code (e.g. queueing 8-31-45 only) lands you on a normal chapter-5 destination and the dialog does not show the OMEGA option.

Common Mistakes

• Equipping the bracelet before chapter 4. The bracelet is gated, but if you somehow obtain it earlier, the phone map is permanently locked — there is no in-game warning.
• Forgetting to unequip after Lv2. Once OMEGA is in your inventory, the bracelet only costs you navigation. Speedrunners leave it on for one extra car to confirm Lv2, then unequip.
• Spending the Konial Memo on the angel lever. The lever scene offers three options. Pick the wrong one and you cannot retry without reloading or starting a new save.
• Selling OMEGA. OMEGA is a key item, not a shop item. The Butler Shop never lists it; you cannot accidentally lose it.

What Unlocks With True Ending

• Steam achievement Succeeded in twisting causality. Global unlock 52.68% (exophase.com listings).
• Memory Room scene library (22 in-engine replays).
• Ghost H scene frame if the X-Ray Spec was kept equipped from chapter 4.
• Epilogue CG after the credits roll.
