Hard-to-Spot Anomalies in Train45

Several Train45 anomalies change only a small object, appear in the background, or are triggered by movement rather than a visual cue. These are the anomalies players most commonly report as "cannot find" or "died without seeing anything." This guide covers every hard-to-spot anomaly with detection tips and survival instructions.

Overview — Why These Anomalies Are Hard to Find

Most anomalies announce themselves with a visible poster change, character pose shift, or object replacement. The hard-to-spot anomalies break that pattern — they are environment-based, movement-triggered, or affect something so small that players scan right past it.

The key to spotting every one of these is knowing what to look for before you enter the car. If you walk in expecting a poster change and the car is silent, you are probably in one of these.

These anomalies do not reward patience the way visual anomalies do — several require specific actions to clear. Read the sections below before chapter 4 so you are not caught off guard.

Movement-Based Anomalies

Reverse (Car 10)

Reverse does not rely on a changed poster or object. The train starts moving in the opposite direction. The easiest clue is the movement of pole shadows inside the car — they move toward you instead of away. You can also press Space anywhere to sense this anomaly if the shadow motion is not obvious.

What to do: Sense the anomaly and walk to the far right. No special action needed — just identify it and exit.

Speed Up (Car 17)

Speed Up is based on the train's movement. The scenery outside the windows moves faster than usual, so check the window movement instead of looking for a changed poster or object. The poles streak past at double speed.

What to do: Sense the anomaly from the window scenery and exit normally. This is a safe-type anomaly.

Low Speed (Car 18)

Low Speed works the opposite way. The train becomes noticeably slower, so focus on the outside scenery and the rhythm of the car movement. The poles drift past instead of sweep.

What to do: Sense the anomaly and exit normally. Also see the Slow Zone guide for the terminal puzzle that uses this car.

Action-Required Anomalies

Flooding (Car 15)

Flooding cannot be cleared like a normal anomaly. The car starts filling with water and you need to move quickly to the far right side. Do not stand still or try to investigate — the water rises fast.

Additionally, pay attention to the four direction clues near the right door in this car: left 2, right 4, left 3, right 6. These numbers are used later for the Padlock puzzle in the Security Car terminal.

What to do: Rush to the far right immediately. You cannot sense this anomaly normally — movement is the only trigger.

Torch / Flashlight (Car 24)

The carriage becomes completely dark when you enter. After reaching the far right, enemies attack from both sides. You need to use the flashlight while keeping a safe distance to survive.

What to do: Enter, move to the far right, and activate the flashlight when enemies appear. Failure to use the light results in death.

Snow Woman (Car 36)

Snow Woman is an action-based anomaly. You need to avoid falling icicle spikes marked by red circles until the gauge ends. The timing is tight — move between safe windows carefully.

Remember the three-number clue in the lower-right door area (snow digits 9-16-29) — it is used later for the Lover's Letter puzzle in the Strong AC Car terminal.

What to do: Survive the icicle dodge until the gauge ends. Then sense and exit.

Doll (Car 30)

Doll cannot be handled as a normal anomaly. A scarecrow appears on the seat, then a female ghost materializes near the center. You need to lead her back to the scarecrow position to clear it — walk toward the doll, and the ghost will follow.

What to do: Walk back toward the doll after the ghost appears. If you run instead, the ghost catches you.

Embrace / Hug (Car 37)

Another active anomaly. The ghost comes out of a dimensional crack and follows your movement. You need to guide her so that she embraces the talisman instead of catching you. Lead her to the talisman by strafing carefully.

What to do: Move deliberately toward the talisman. Do not sprint — the ghost tracks your exact movement speed.

Subtle Visual Anomalies

Seat Eye / Eyeball (Car 26)

Seat Eye is easy to miss because the eye only appears intermittently on the seat near the right door. It is not there when you first look — wait and watch the seat area for two to three seconds before moving on.

What to do: Observe the seat near the right door for several seconds. If the eyeball appears, sense it and exit.

Condensation / Fogged Glass (Car 27)

Condensation is a subtle glass anomaly. A blurry human-shaped steam mark appears on the right door glass — it is easy to mistake for a normal foggy window if you are not looking carefully.

What to do: Check the right door window specifically. The silhouette is faint but visible. Sense and exit.

Braille Block / Tactile Paving (Car 29)

Braille Block is one of the smallest visual changes in the game. The yellow tactile paving under the left door has round bumps, and part of the bumps become faint or missing. This is the only anomaly that affects the floor texture.

What to do: Look down at the floor near the left door. The anomaly is confirmed when bumps flicker in and out. Sense and exit.

Rail-Based Anomalies (Tentacles)

Tentacle – 1 (Car 53)

This anomaly is easy to overlook because the tentacles are attached to the handrail. Check the rail area carefully when entering — the tentacle texture wrapping around the metal bar is the only visual change.

What to do: Sense the handrail area specifically and exit normally.

Tentacle – 2 (Car 54)

This one is also rail-based. Look at the upper part of the handrail near the middle door. A tentacle wraps around the upper rail section.

What to do: Check the upper rail near the middle door. Sense and exit.

Tentacle – 3 (Car 55)

This tentacle anomaly appears near the seat area in the lower-right side of the right door. Check low areas of the car instead of only scanning the windows and posters.

What to do: Examine the lower seat area near the right door. Sense and exit.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why can I not sense the Flooding anomaly?

Flooding (car 15) cannot be sensed normally — the car floods as soon as you enter and you must rush to the far right. There is no sensing step. Move immediately.

How do I spot Reverse if there is no visual change?

Watch the pole shadows inside the car — they move toward you instead of away, which is the opposite of normal train movement. You can also press Space anywhere to sense the anomaly.

What is the three-number clue in Snow Woman?

The numbers 9, 16, and 29 are written in the snow near the right door area. They are used later for the Lovers Letter puzzle in the Strong AC Car terminal.

How do I survive the Torch anomaly?

The car goes completely dark. Reach the far right side and activate the flashlight when enemies appear from both sides. Failing to use the light results in death.

How do I clear the Doll anomaly without dying?

After the scarecrow appears on the seat and the female ghost materializes, walk back slowly toward the scarecrow position. The ghost will follow. If you run, the ghost catches you.
