What Splits the Two Finales

Chapter 6 ends in the mechanism room / engine room. After you obtain Konial’s Memo, the phone map accepts route 8-31-45-54. Walking in empty-handed plays the standard finale — The Destined End (“Is this really how it ends?”). That ending does not unlock title-screen gallery mode on a first clear.

The true ending — Steam achievement Train No. 45, “Succeeded in twisting causality” — needs the key item Xiao Ke OMEGA (ちびコニャOMEGA / 小柯OMEGA). With it in inventory, the last choice becomes Take out Xiao Ke OMEGA instead of a blank lever. Konial pours her stored tickets and demon power into the item; the story reverses causality, escapes the train, and opens the memory room.

Community shorthand calls these Trust the Angel (lever / Pazuzu’s causality) versus Trust the Demon (OMEGA / Konial). Plan the chain before you spend the Memo route — the Copper Bracelet disables car navigation while equipped.

Chapter 6 Checklist

1. Clear anomalies in chapter 6 until Konial reveals the final car and hands you Konial’s Memo.
2. Read the memo numbers: Hot Spring wall 54, Pachinko / Collaboration Car wall 45, butler-side poster date 8 / 31. Combined route: 8-31-45-54.
3. Buy and equip the Copper Bracelet from the butler shop. Each successful Sense grants +10 Konial affection. Navigation stays locked until you unequip it.
4. Watch Konial’s Lv1 dialogue event. Keep exploring until she reaches Lv2.
5. Complete the third special training event. Konial gives you Xiao Ke OMEGA.
6. Unequip the Copper Bracelet so the phone map works again.
7. Set route 8-31-45-54, enter the mechanism room, and choose Take out Xiao Ke OMEGA.

Save before the final door. If the last option is blank, you are missing OMEGA — reload and finish the bracelet chain. After the true ending, Event Gallery → Next page → Ghost H becomes available on v1.0.4.2 or later. See Event Gallery.

Common Mistakes

Entering on the Memo route too early locks you into The Destined End and skips gallery unlock. Finish OMEGA first. Leaving the bracelet on after Lv2 blocks navigation, so you cannot type 8-31-45-54. Skipping the Lv1 talk stalls the Lv2 story gift even if the number bar looks full.

True ending is a separate achievement from companion-route finales. You still need focused Reina / Mai / Pazuzu runs for their CGs. Use the Ending Planner and the all-endings guide for the multi-run schedule. HowLongToBeat estimates about 9 hours for a completionist pass.

As of mid-August 2026 the official named Steam patch is still v1.0.5.1 (14 July). Depot builds reported as v1.0.5.3 do not change this chain. Confirm your build under Steam → Properties → Updates before following older videos.
