Train45 Gift & Affinity Farming Guide
Affinity grinding is the single biggest time sink in Train45. This guide documents the gift preferences for each companion, where to farm each gift, and the optimal phone-map route for the highest +affinity per run.
How Affinity Works
Each companion has a hidden +affinity score that ranges from 0 to 7 (Lv0 to Lv7). Gifts add +5 to +20 depending on the item and the recipient's preference. Wrong gifts drop affinity by −1, so blindly giving every item is a net loss on tight routes.
Affinity is consumed by the trigger windows in chapters 2, 4, and 6. Failing a window means missing that companion's route forever on the save file. Plan gift timing around the chapters.

Some gifts are reusable — the Copper Bracelet gives +10 to Konial for every successful exploration as long as it stays equipped, which makes it the single best bang-per-ticket item in the entire game.
Fastest Affinity Farming Routes
Three routes dominate the speedrun community. Each gives the highest affinity-per-minute return for a specific companion:
- Reina speedrun: 13-14-30-5 (Beer Can) → 4-5-8-12 (Milk Bottle) → return to start. ~12 affinity in 4 minutes.
- Mai speedrun: 7-22-24-32 (Lubricant + Report) → 46-45-31 (Bunny Girl prep) → back. ~25 affinity in 6 minutes.
- Konial speedrun: Equip Copper Bracelet at start, run any route. +10 per car. Best return is 8-31-45-54 which doubles as True Ending prep.
Use the Affinity Tracker to plan the gift window around chapter 2 — chapter 2 is the only window where missing affinity is fully recoverable. After chapter 4, missing triggers become save-locked.
Shop Restock Cycle
The Butler Shop restocks every 30 minutes of in-game exploration time. Ticket prices fluctuate:
- Cheap Charm — 3 tickets, +12 Butler affinity. Always in stock.
- Dim Red Lamp — 5 tickets, +5 Mai affinity. Always in stock.
- Lipstick — 12 tickets, +5 Butler affinity. Stock limited to 2 per cycle.
- Ancient Record Tablet — 20 tickets, +15 Konial affinity. Stock limited to 1 per cycle.
Save your 20-ticket slots for the Ancient Record Tablet — Konial has the slowest affinity curve of any companion and the Tablet is the only shop gift that adds more than +5.
Affinity Window Timing
Trigger windows open in chapters 2, 4, and 6. The chapter 6 window is the only one that requires OMEGA + Memo for the True Ending; the chapter 2 window is the only one that recovers from a miss.
- Chapter 2 window — open after car 5. Plan to reach Lv2 by this point. Missing it is recoverable on revisit routes.
- Chapter 4 window — open after car 28. Plan to reach Lv5 by this point. Missing it locks the per-level H scene.
- Chapter 6 window — finale branch. The True Ending requires Konial Lv2 specifically, regardless of the others.
