Train45 Destined End Guide
Pull the mechanism-room lever empty-handed and the story obeys Pazuzu’s causality. Steam calls this The Destined End — “Is this really how it ends?” It is a real finale, not a crash. It is also the ending that refuses to open title-screen gallery on a first clear.
What the Lever Actually Does
Chapter 6 ends in the mechanism room / engine room after you type Konial’s Memo route 8-31-45-54 on the phone map. Community shorthand names two choices: Trust the Angel (lever, Pazuzu) and Trust the Demon (Xiao Ke OMEGA, Konial). If you never obtained OMEGA, the last prompt is a blank lever. That pull is The Destined End achievement.
The cutscene darkens. Memories of the companions, the shop, and every anomaly car are treated as a closed loop. Causality “returns to its proper track.” You do not escape the train in the same way the true ending does, and you do not receive the memory-room / Event Gallery unlock that follows a true-ending clear on v1.0.4.2 or later.
This is still a complete credits sequence. Save before the final door if you want both finales on one file: finish OMEGA first, then replay the last car for the lever. Details for the opposite chain live on the True Ending guide.
When Players Hit It by Accident
The usual trap is spending the Memo route the moment Konial reveals it. The Memo is a destination, not a victory flag. Entering without OMEGA locks the lever as the only option. Copper Bracelet still equipped is the other trap — navigation dies while it is worn, so some players unequip, type 8-31-45-54, and walk in before Konial’s Lv2 gift fires.
You can still 100% the game after a Destined End clear. Start a new run or reload the pre-door save, then follow the bracelet → Lv1 talk → Lv2 → third training event → OMEGA chain. Companion CGs (Mai bunny, Reina hot spring, ghost friendship) are separate from this split and need their own terminal visits. Use the Ending Planner.
As of 20 August 2026 the named Steam patch is still v1.0.5.1. Silent depot builds dated around 5 August (community labels v1.0.5.3) do not add a third finale. HowLongToBeat now lists about 10 hours for a completionist pass that includes both endings.
How It Differs from Companion Finales
Reina, Mai, Konial, Pazuzu, and butler scenes are romance and event CGs. The Destined End is the story finale that accepts the angel’s correction of causality. Pazuzu’s route lore explains why the lever exists; you do not need her maxed to pull it. You do need her terminal scenes (Dark Room, Punishment Car 33-36-41) for collection, not for this achievement.
Steam achievement The Destined End pops on the credits. Train No. 45 does not. Ghost H in Event Gallery → Next page stays gated behind the true ending. Plan gallery work after OMEGA, not after the lever. See Event Gallery and How to Get All Endings.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Destined End a bad ending?
It is the standard story finale — Trust the Angel. Players call it a bad end because memories wipe and gallery stays locked. Steam still grants The Destined End achievement.
Can I get gallery after the lever?
Not on that clear. Title-screen gallery and Ghost H need the true ending (Take out Xiao Ke OMEGA) on v1.0.4.2 or later.
Do I need Pazuzu affinity for the lever?
No. Missing OMEGA is enough. Pazuzu’s terminals are for collection and her own CGs.
What is the Memo route?
8-31-45-54. Hot Spring wall 54, Pachinko / Collaboration Car 45, butler poster 8 / 31. Order usually does not matter.
