Train45 Ticket Economy Guide
Tickets are the universal currency of Train45. Every successful anomaly investigation drops tickets, every shop chest costs tickets, and several affinity shortcuts are priced in tickets. This page documents the economy end-to-end.
Ticket Drop Rates by Anomaly Type
| Anomaly Class | Base Drop | Perfect Detection Bonus | Total Range |
|---|---|---|---|
| Crow, Sticker, Tunnel | +1 ticket | +1 | 1–2 |
| Window, Empty Car, Acceleration | +2 tickets | +1 | 2–3 |
| Exposure series, Shadow, Reverse Direction | +3 tickets | +2 | 3–5 |
| Companion-gated (Mai Lv5, Reina Lv5) | +4 tickets | +3 | 4–7 |
| Final chapter anomalies (53–57) | +5 tickets | +5 | 5–10 |
Perfect detection bonus requires identifying the anomaly on the first inspection without prompting. Average ticket yield across a chapter 4 run is roughly 3.2 tickets per car.
Ticket-to-Affinity Conversion
The Butler Shop is the only ticket-to-affinity conversion point. Current conversion ratios:
- Cheap Charm — 3 tickets → +12 Butler affinity. 4.0 affinity per ticket.
- Dim Red Lamp — 5 tickets → +5 Mai affinity. 1.0 affinity per ticket.
- Lipstick — 12 tickets → +5 Butler affinity. 0.42 affinity per ticket.
- Ancient Record Tablet — 20 tickets → +15 Konial affinity. 0.75 affinity per ticket.
By raw affinity-per-ticket, the Cheap Charm wins. By speed of Konial Lv2, the Ancient Record Tablet is irreplaceable because Konial has no other shop gift above +5.
Gear Tickets vs Affinity Tickets
Tickets spent on perception gear (Flashlight, Binoculars, Night-Vision Specs) do not increase any companion's affinity directly. They reduce the time cost of subsequent anomaly investigations by 30–50%.
Economists argue the optimal spend for a first playthrough is Flashlight first, then Cheap Charm in bulk, then Ancient Record Tablet. Flashlight pays for itself within ~6 investigations through faster clear times.
The Konial Memo Edge Case
The Konial Memo is not a ticket item but it is consumed in the same economy context. It is the highest-value single item in the game: spending it on the OMEGA option unlocks the True Ending. Spending it on the angel lever triggers the Destined End. There is no in-game way to refund the Memo once spent.
The Memo is one-per-save and is automatically given to the player by Konial during the Lv2 affection dialog. You cannot buy it, sell it, or duplicate it.
Spend Priority Stack
Recommended ticket spend order for a clean run aiming at the True Ending:
- Flashlight — 8 tickets. Buy in chapter 2.
- Cheap Charm × 4 — 12 tickets. Build Butler affinity to Lv2 in chapter 3.
- Ancient Record Tablet × 2 — 40 tickets. Build Konial affinity to Lv2 before chapter 6.
- Lipstick × 1 — 12 tickets. Optional Butler Lv3 push.
- Remaining tickets — stockpile for chapter 6 final-chest purchases.
This sequence leaves roughly 10–15 tickets unspent at the end of a typical run, which is the buffer for a missed anomaly retry.
Why Tickets Reset on Save Reload
Ticket purchases are non-refundable. A common mistake is buying a Lipstick before realizing you needed the tickets for a chapter-6 chest. The Save Files guide documents the AppData backup procedure so you can experiment with different spend orders.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the most efficient ticket spend?
For a first run, Flashlight first, then Cheap Charm in bulk. For Konial-specific builds, Ancient Record Tablet is mandatory because it is the only shop item above +5 Konial affinity.
Do ticket drops scale with chapter?
Yes. Chapter 5–6 anomalies drop on average 2× more tickets than chapter 1–2 anomalies. The final chapter tops out at 10 tickets per perfect detection.
Can I get unlimited tickets?
No. Tickets are bounded by anomaly count per run. There are 57 anomaly cars, so a perfect run yields at most ~280 tickets. The Butler Shop restocks but you still need tickets to buy from it.
Do tickets carry between saves?
Tickets are per-save-file. Steam Cloud syncs them per slot, but a new save starts from zero.
