Train45 Developer & Publisher

Train45 is an indie anomaly horror game developed by Elniko and published on Steam by Mango Party. The game runs on the Godot Engine and ships with Japanese voice acting, Simplified/Traditional Chinese, Korean, and English text. This page covers who is behind Train45, the studio’s public communications channels, and what the team has officially confirmed.

Developer — Elniko

Elniko is the solo developer credited with Train45 across Steam, SteamDB, and the official Ci-en creator page. The game shipped with Japanese voice acting, English/Chinese/Korean localisation, and pixel-art visuals — all consistent with Elniko’s earlier Ci-en posts teasing an endless-train anomaly game.

Elniko communicates with the community primarily through three channels: Steam announcements, the Steam Community hub discussions, and the studio’s Ci-en page (ci-en.dlsite.com/creator/26377). The Ci-en page is a fanbox-style support hub, not a second storefront — buy the game and Artbook DLC on Steam if you play the Steam build.

On 1 July and 3 July 2026, Elniko posted two Steam announcements thanking players for the 100,000-copy and 50,000-copy milestones. The 27 July thank-you letter for 220,000 first-month copies confirmed the August 2026 event-dialogue replay and the late-2026 sequel reveal.

Publisher — Mango Party

Mango Party publishes Train45 on Steam. The publisher is responsible for the Steam store page localisation, store copywriting, sales-and-promotion timing (the 10% launch-window discount through 17 August 2026), and Steam Deck Verified submission that succeeded with v1.0.5.1 on 17 July 2026.

Mango Party also publishes Train 45 Artbook (DLC app 4612910), the only paid extra at about $4.99. The Artbook ships as a digital PDF image collection — it does not add gameplay, anomalies, or endings. A Deluxe bundle combining Train45 with the Artbook is also available on the Steam store page.

Steam page metadata confirms Train45 as a Casual/Indie Godot title. The game runs on Godot 4 with cross-platform controller glyphs and a verified SteamOS configuration.

Engine and Technology

SteamDB lists Godot Engine as the detected technology for Train45. The build runs on Windows 10 and later with Vulkan support, and the Steam Deck Verified designation confirms it runs well on SteamOS without Proton tweaks.

Save files follow the standard Godot convention under %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\TrainNumber45\ on Windows. Cloud sync uses Steam Cloud with a 9.31 GiB quota. No external accounts or logins are required to play.

Japanese voice acting is included as full audio for dialogue and event scenes. The other four supported languages (English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean) ship as text only — see our Controls guide for the language-switch workflow and our FAQ for which languages have voice acting.

Sales and Community Milestones

Train45 launched on Steam on 26 June 2026 and hit several sales milestones within weeks:

  • 50,000 copies in 3 days — 29 June 2026 announcement at 98% Overwhelmingly Positive.
  • 100,000 copies in 7 days — 3 July 2026 announcement with 1,000+ reviews.
  • 220,000 copies in the first month — 27 July 2026 thank-you letter, Silver Top Release badge.
  • Steam Deck Verified — 17 July 2026, with full gamepad UI shipping in v1.0.5.1.

As of 26 August 2026, Steam still shows about 3,400 lifetime reviews at ~97% Overwhelmingly Positive, with roughly 1,100 reviews in the trailing 30 days. Peak concurrent hit 3,277 during launch week, and Train45 briefly reached #6 on the Japanese sales chart.

Confirmed Future Plans

Elniko’s 27 July 2026 thank-you letter tied three future beats to the next six months:

  • August 2026: event dialogue replay, the community’s most-requested quality-of-life addition.
  • After the replay: more free updates for Train45 (bug fixes, gallery improvements, language polish).
  • End of 2026: a new project reveal — explicitly separate from the Train45 sequel.

As of 26 August 2026, no Patch Note 4 has been posted on the public Steam feed. The 5 August depot bump is widely labelled v1.0.5.3 in community trackers but Elniko has not written it up officially. Treat it as silent fixes until Elniko publishes a named changelog.

This wiki does not invent patch notes. See Patch Notes for confirmed changelog text only, and Sequel & Roadmap for the full timeline.
