Read Flooding Car 15, Then Spin the Dial

The padlock hint talks about rising water and wall scribbles. Go to anomaly car 15 — Flooding. The wall marks a four-step pattern: left 2, right 4, left 3, right 6.

Inspect the Padlock item. The needle starts at 4. Apply the wall moves on a 1–16 style dial (the flooding car’s clock-like ring):

Start 4, left 2 → 13
Right 4 → 2
Left 3 → 1
Right 6 → 8

Japanese boards sometimes list walking order 1 → 2 → 13 → 8. English tables list 13-2-1-8. The phone accepts the same four cars; order usually does not matter.

Destination is the Security Car (保全車両). First visit drops the Broken Key (壊れた鍵). Car 15 is also the first digit of Hot Spring (15-1-27) — different puzzle. Car 13 also sits on Break Room 13-14-30-5.

If the Security Door Rejects You

Confirm you own the Padlock hint, the Copper Bracelet is off, and you typed all four cars from the set {1, 2, 8, 13}. Guessing only 15 does not open Security. Full numbered list: Puzzle Solutions.
