Train45 Sequel & Development Roadmap
Train45 sold 220,000 copies in its first month and earned Steam’s June 2026 Top Release Silver badge. Elniko confirmed a Train45 series sequel, an epilogue update for the original, and a separate new project — all while Patch Note 3 / v1.0.5.1 remains the latest named Steam changelog as of 21 August 2026.
What Elniko Has Confirmed
Three announcements stack on top of each other — do not merge them into one “sequel DLC.”
- Train45 series sequel (July 1, 2026): Elniko posted that development of the next entry in the Train45 series has officially begun. The story expands beyond the endless train to a larger-scale adventure. Mango Party’s English announcement mirrors the same wording.
- 220,000-copy thank-you letter (July 27, 2026): Train45 is Steam Deck Verified. Elniko promised August 2026 would add the community’s most-requested event dialogue replay, followed by more free updates. An epilogue / sequel story for the original is in preparation. A new project reveal is planned by the end of 2026 — explicitly separate from the numbered sequel.
- Ongoing Train45 support: Bug reports and feedback continue to feed patches. Named changelog stops at v1.0.5.1 (14 July). A silent public-branch bump around 5 August (community labels v1.0.5.3) has no official write-up yet.
Nothing in these posts adds new anomaly cars, a third story ending, or Steam achievements to the current build. See Patch Notes for verified changelog text only.
Sequel vs Epilogue vs New Project
Series sequel is a new game — bigger stage, story leaving the train. Elniko has not shown trailers, platforms, or a release window. Treat every “Train45 2” rumor without a Steam store page as fan speculation.
Epilogue update sounds like free post-launch content for the current Train45 — likely story or scene material after the true ending. It may ship alongside or before the event-dialogue replay feature. This wiki will not invent plot details until Steam posts Patch Note 4.
New project reveal (late 2026) is a third bucket. Elniko’s letter distinguishes it from both the sequel and ongoing Train45 patches. It might be another Mango Party title entirely.

Sales Milestones & Community Health
Launch week (June 26, 2026): 50,000 copies in three days at 98%+ Overwhelmingly Positive. Seven days: 100,000 copies and 1,000+ reviews. First month: 220,000 copies, Silver Top Release, brief #6 on the Japanese Steam chart.
As of 21 August 2026, Steam still lists 3,100+ lifetime reviews at ~97% Overwhelmingly Positive, with roughly 1,018 reviews in the trailing 30 days. Peak concurrent hit 3,227 during launch week. List price returned to about $10.99 / ¥1,870 after a 10% store sale through 17 August.
HowLongToBeat lists ~3 hours main story, ~6 with extras, ~10 completionist — useful for planning replays before any epilogue lands. Handheld players should read Steam Deck & Controller for v1.0.5.1 settings.
August 2026 — Event Dialogue Replay Still Pending
The July 27 letter tied August to event dialogue replay — the #1 community request on Steam discussions and Japanese wiki comment threads. As of 21 August it has not appeared as a named Steam news post (no Patch Note 4).
Until it ships, use our dedicated Event Dialogue Replay guide for workarounds: phone anomaly events 0–7, title-screen Event Gallery, and Ghost H after a true-ending clear. Do not trust save-file editors or “100% save” downloads for missing dialogue — they break achievement integrity and may not match v1.0.5.1 builds.
When Patch Note 4 drops, this page and Updates will record only what Elniko publishes.
